For me it is the most enjoyable exercise there is. Plus you get to where you want to go in the process.
Rob,
When riding a bike - getting to where you want to go is not the problem.
The difficulty arises when you attempt to find where you parked your bike after visiting the 5th place you wanted to go to, that is when the problem arises.
You then catch a Pass App Taxi home and next day you buy a new bike because you cant remember where you left the last one ( again ) It's cheaper to leave the bike at home.
So riding a bike only exercises your wallet.

I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

I see lots of barangs peddling on 2 wheels, smiling, I hope they got medical insurance covers that accident that will happen.scoffer wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2019 3:27 pmRob,

Can you actually ride a bike in Phnom Penh (like 40 km cycles) without blowing out a tire?

You can ride thousands of km without blowing out a tire. There is very little broken glass on the roads, you might get the odd screw or nail though. You can also get blow outs from hitting pot holes or not knowing how to negotiate kerbs or bumps.

Can’t speak about Phnom Penh but I have done plenty of riding in Temple Town and had one puncture in 9 years.
