UC Browser
This was a really good browser when I first installed it, now it is giving me endless problems...slow, compatibility issues, etc.
Anybody have insights? Recommendations for other browsers?

Firefox is the best browser and next to it are the well-known browser like chrome, Microsoft edge, safari, opera. However, you have to avoid certain browser extensions to keep your browser free from any type of issues. For that, it's ideal to audit all of your extensions once a month.
If you like your privacy, go for sth. like the duckduckgo browser on your mobile and chromium on your Desktop. Personally I am using Vivaldi right now.

I know that but I thought Chromium was an open source alternative that aimed at creating more privacy. Upon having read a little more about it, it seems like improved safety and privacy features are not necessarily a priority of the Chromium project. So yeah. You are right. Better not use Chrome or Chromium.
Took me a long time to switch from Firefox, but now I prefer Chrome. Especially everything is synced, so the same bookmarks etc on my desktop, laptop etc. Perhaps Firefox does that too, but I never figured it out.

UC browser is owned and developed by Alibaba and their priority has never been privacy and security either.
I had never heard of it until now but apparently it's quite popular. Thanks to the Chinese I suppose.

Firefox does the same thing and you don't have to deal with google's snooping and censoring.

I like the option of Google when I am wanting the results returned from my questions to be broader than normal.

Firefox is slow on my device. Google is convenient. But if you are real paranoid, I guess Firefox is cool. Or you could use the Ghostery browser even.
I figure Google knows everything about me anyway, so why worry about it.
