The proper way to calculate a ebike wattage is the battery voltage times the controller amperage.
i.e. my bike has a 1000w rated motor the battery is 48v and the controller is 20A so;
48 x 20 = 960 my bike is 960w as it is configured now.
I could easily change that with a higher voltage battery like 60v x 20A = 1200w or new controller 48V x 40A=1920w or by changing both 60V x 40A= 2400w.

Never mind.
Considering what e-bike to buy and the fat tire jobs appealed to me, mostly because of low psi and good on sand, a more comfy ride and do away with having shocks. Was there anything in particular about them that didn't appeal?

You could fly to Thailand buy one of these and bring it back on the bus. (put the battery in a carry on back pack). Choose whatever configuration you want hub,mid-drive or 2 wheel drive.

Yes they are good on sand. Do you live on a beach?
You’d look like a twonk on one, especially when the battery dies or electrics pack up. Good workout though.
Buy a crank system from AliExpress. Job done.

You could ask the dealer in PP to source one for you. I’ve used him and he speaks English.
Search Cycling Lover Cambodia on FB. Or call him 015 889 368.

Lol, I already look a 'twonk', and function/practicality outweigh other considerations.YaTingPom wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 1:21 pmYes they are good on sand. Do you live on a beach?
