the BK 13

This is a free speech zone where you can discuss and debate everything Cambodia related whether you're a dyed in the wool leftist, a liberal or somewhere to right of Attila the Hun. This is also where you get to read the news the local media suppresses.

the BK 13

So what's happened ? I saw the chaos 50 black T-shirted demonstrators brought to the Palace area this morning. Roads closed , traffic jams galore, fully clad riot police and a handful of news people. Were they (the 13) released?
Bollocks to it all.

Interesting that the regime has conceded and released them. CPP feeling more confident, assured and relaxed after the elections OR CPP feeling the pressure after so much terrible international publicity over this?

And if it indeed turns out to be international protest and pressure along with the local grassroots, you'll be crediting the local "libtards" for making a difference, correct?

'Libtards' think they own the right to political dissent against this bunch of bastards. They don't. I know many people not on the left who would like to see this regime destroyed and its leaders swinging from lamposts. And let's not forget that the shower in charge originally emerged from the left and not the right. Furthermore, their values of smashing all dissent ruthlessly and hanging onto power forever at all costs are values they've retained from the Marxist left.

I also know more than a few libtards who support the CPP/don't want change because they personally are doing rather well here and have no desire to see their lucrative income stream come shuddering to a halt. How about that as a libtard slogan? 'End oppression (unless it messes up my nice little gig)!'

Apparently the Korrupt Khmer Keystone Kops beat the shit out of a pregnant woman at the demonstration this morning. She is currently in hospital.

One more reason why they are so respected by the general populace.

I say if the lady with the blue and white checker scarf just let go of the barricade all of the police would fall over.

Nice avoidance of the question, KiR, along with the requisite bullshit polemic against the evil left. I don't believe I saw any right-wing pressure groups either in the international press or on the ground at the protest, while I certainly saw a lot of lefties. Perhaps you can enlighten me about whom you are speaking of. Or do the silent protests of the righteous Right that occur in their imagination have magical powers to sway the powers that be?

Yes, smashing all dissent and hanging onto power forever at all costs are exclusively left-wing traits, and were policy as written by Karl Marx hisownself. And certainly these narsty libtards wouldn't actually support the CPP because they actually think it's the best option here, they would only have a political commitment to something that benefits them individually and personally. Because, you know, that's a very left-wing value, not a right-wing one.

that would be me, i'm the righteous right. i would like to see the parents of beat up kids prosecuted for endangering their minors for allowing/encouaging them to participate in would be violent protest. and why did these 13 or 15 people wouldn't evacuate after already accepted payment for a buy out? who were ring leaders for the stand-for-more-money protest? if one caught and prosecuted that he/she was the mastermind behind the scheme to extort more money or no evacuation is hung by the lamp post is not such a bad example.

and yeah, the police who kicked the pregnant woman should be prosecuted the fullest extent of the law; and the pregnant lady should be fined for being stupid enough to go such place.
the chosen land.
