Where to buy a hammer drill?

Postby nicolascales » Fri Jul 13, 2012 6:35 am

I went to K4 in Sorya but they had no drills. I also have been quoted $28 for a used hammer drill (Bosch) at Russian market but it was a huge thing and had no drill bits etc. I really just need a drill to put up pictures and hooks in the incredibly hard walls that Khmer houses consist of. Does anyone know of a shop that sells new drills in the carrying box with a few basic drill bits?
Thanks for any help

Have you got a nearby hardware shop? Get them to come around and do it.

At the end of the Japan bridge on the PP side 100's of shops selling tools and things I think its the best place in PP to buy what you want.

Either the Bosch Store or the Makita Store, both on MST near the Russian Market.
My money is on the Bosch.

Or hire a handy man and have them do it since it sounds like a rather small job.

Thank you to all of you who replied, I do prefer to do my own drilling as I can do it to my own standards and I have a lot of pictures that need putting up, I always find if you pay someone else to do it you invariably forget some and then you need to call them out again. So I went to the Bosch shop on Monivong and bought a drill with case and drill bits etc for $40.00. Not extortionate and I am happy so job well done. Thanks for all the help

Be careful with electricity wires inside wall.
You can guess where they go, but still going wrong.
