Honestly! $200 to generate a piece of paper with some stamps on it that could perhaps take the laziest public servant in the world 30 minutes to generate?!?!
What is with Cambodia's most corrupt Sangkat - the one that we riverside dwellers are beholden to?
They've already pinched me $450 for the world's quickest and grottiest civil wedding that was over and done with in ten minutes flat! Even the bloke who I had to not pay a bribe to at the MFA sucked air through his teeth at that!
The scum tried to charge us $250 for the bit of paper that the bloke at the MFA did for about half that price (which I think still may have included a bit of tea money if I were a cynical bloke)
Is there any way around the tyranny of the sangkat and the world's most appallingly highly priced bureaucracy? This is a fucking piss take and they aren't getting the money.
It's a good thing that there isn't a Kao-San Road in PP that could replicate low-level government papers at better prices, or I might be tempted into doing wrong...
