He did some rotten things to 440 including trying to steal our domain when he got drugfucked/totally messed up here but basically he was a smart decent guy before he he got into a mess here.

I guess it just shows that the lack of extradition treaties between Cambodia and any other country do not mean shit if the cash is being flashed.

That's pretty funny, because I remember some news reports a year or so back saying that nobody knew where he was, and that he was missing, might be dead etc. Meanwhile, I've never even met the guy, but I was quite aware of where he lived. He'd probably still be free if he'd bothered to move apartments in the last 4 years.

Interpol doesn't arrest people ... From their FAQ:

"Does INTERPOL send agents around the world to arrest people?

No, the INTERPOL General Secretariat does not send officers into countries to arrest individuals. All investigations and arrests in each of INTERPOL  member country are carried out by the national police in accordance with national laws. Each member country has an INTERPOL  National Central Bureau (NCB) which is staffed by highly-trained law enforcement officers and acts as a designated contact point for the General Secretariat and other member countries. International investigations are coordinated via these NCBs."

Cambodia is a member of INTERPOL. If INTERPOL issues a Red Notice, they can choose to honor it or ignore it, essentially, but normally those would be honored:

"INTERPOL does not issue arrest warrants. A member country may request the INTERPOL General Secretariat to issue a  Red Notice (an international alert for a wanted person) on the basis of a valid national arrest warrant.

If INTERPOL is asked to issue a Red Notice in response to an arrest warrant, the information will be sent out to all our 190 member countries, unless otherwise indicated.

Member countries have the option of having an abridged version of the Red Notice posted on INTERPOL’s website. If no Red Notice is published, this is either because one has not been issued for that person, or the requesting country has asked that it not be publicized.

Any arrest in any INTERPOL member country is carried out by the national police. Confirmation of an arrest should come from the national authorities where the arrest was made."

So, extradition treaties aside, this would be normal or expected behavior for Cambodia as INTERPOL members, not that Cambodia behaves normally or as expected ever.

I met this guy once, I was trying to set up a server with parental control at a school. We had an interesting discussion because he strongly opposes censorship, whilst I support blocking porn sites from small kids. He was very helpful and polite, I thought.

And why shouldn't they be? They're driving the internet censorship and copyright attacks. Sweden is taking the "lapdog" role, with Karl Rove as advisor.
