Watch prices in the Kingdom
Maybe Scobienz can help...
I'm in the market for a new watch as it seems the tropics have given a beating to my old-faithful. I'm constantly getting condensation/water infiltration despite having got new seals several times. I visited a few shops along 136 near Central Market and it seems there are plenty of good watches to be bought here. I'm just wondering how prices in Cambodia compare to the west or other regional hubs (Singapore, Thailand...). I haven't shopped for watches or looked at their prices carefully for over a decade, so have no clue if the stuff here is overpriced, cheap, or similarly priced. Some things are heinously expensive here, but for whatever reason, some things are cheaper than in the west.
So yeah, just looking for a bit of advice from someone "in the know".
Looking for something like this:
Kidding... I'm not looking for anything crazy, my budget would likely go up to around 500$, but I'd likely be looking at the 200-350$ range more closely. Depends on what I see really.

When I was in school some kid had a more advanced version of that Casio that could turn the class TV on and off, driving the mathematics teacher insane.
Some leaders are born. Others have a Casio universal remote watch.

Haha - my money’s on Playboy
Speaking of watches, does anyone know if there is a dealer carrying Mondaine here?
I have nothing to say on this subject except to look at that image in the OP and think 'what fresh hell is that abomination?'

For your price range Lexus, why don't you go ahead and take a look at Bulova brand watches. I inherited one from the early 1980s that sat around since 1988 until about 2004, when I received it. Was still working great
Anyone who doesn't like Capitalism is a pathetic loser. God bless the USA and no place else.

Christ what a sad world where people are so poor or stingy they need to comparison price shop for timepieces. I'm glad I'm not in such dire straits.LexusSchmexus wrote:I'm just wondering how prices in Cambodia compare to the west or other regional hubs (Singapore, Thailand...).
Just buy the goddamned watch you like, it costs less than your dignity.

I doubt those watches could tell the right time ? Probably fakes.
.. they are all telling the same time except for blue-face bottom left.
It's obviously set for a different time zone, duh.kinard wrote:.. they are all telling the same time except for blue-face bottom left.
