Are you FAT or OBESE?
No offence intended whatsoever.
I am just trying to establish if there is a market in Cambodia for a PERSONAL TRAINER. I have now thorough knowledge of dietry and nutritional patterns and have been studying the subject for the last year or so. I have shed 20 kilos within a 6 month period without too much change in my lifestyle behaviour.
Simply put, would you happily pay to lose 2 - 3 kilos per month , through simple changes to your lifestyle. Or do you know anyone that would?
Privacy and confidentiality assured.
Post here or PM.
Thanks.
p.s. Pumping iron or a gym programme does NOT suit everyone! Losing weight, getting fit and happier is easier than that!! I was going to give Cambod a free trial at this, but APPARENTLY he now bats for the other team!!!

Given the number of gyms popping up and the changing nature of the expat community, I suspect there would be a market for this. Hell, we have a member here who is running a grooming salon for pets; in modern Phnom Penh has something like that, I would have thought there is demand for a personal trainer.

There's definitely a market for this. Plenty of expats move here and then pork out alarmingly.

Nothing I could do could improve your physique (you are the iron pumper!!!) It is the overweight, flabby business guys and gals that I would assume would just want to firm up and trim down!! Not rocket science, but most people just don´t have the time or discipline (I was there once....)Felgerkarb wrote:Probably a market. A few of us are gym rats as well.

Yes but you'd need to come to my house, the thought of going to the gym - Well, it just doesn't work for me.

No gym would be involved - personal training plans could be done at your home - the beauty of what I am pitching is that you really don´t have to get out of your armchair to get successful results..... it´s all about diet/nutrition and a few other things!

I find it hard to believe you did that without a big change of lifestyle behaviour though. What's the story ?

PLAYBOY could well be my first customer - after all he´s not getting any younger - and all that smoking and drinking is bound to take its toll - especially with a fit and nubile ballet dancer at his side.....
But I am being very serious about this - I am now 77kg today versus 97kg when I was last in PP...................and have created the action plans, although I do admit....One Size Does Not Fit All....

I shed 22 kilos in a similar 5-6 month time frame few years ago. I simply counted every single calorie i consumed (this was in the UK where most food items have nutritional information on the packaging) and limited myself to an intake of 1500 per day instead of the 2500 someone my height, age and lifestyle needs to maintain his current weight.
I then walked a minimum of 4 km every work day, and 8-10 km every Saturday and Sunday. I added 70-100 situps every evening.
The weight flew off incredibly quickly, and has pretty much stayed off a few years later. I went from 111kg to 89. In fact, I lost too much weight and looked liked an AIDS victim, so I relaxed a bit and now seem to have stablised at between 92-95kgs.

Obviously I am not going to reveal too many details here, but yeah, I still like a beer although have considerably cut down on the smokes. It really is pretty simple stuff although it does need to be tailored individually.Lucky Seven wrote:That's remarkable !

I smell a "rat" here. No real "personal trainer" in the world smokes cigs (ever). Period. Double Period. And certainly no trainer advocates little to no exercise ("don't need to get out of your armchair" - bullshit!).Fatboy Slim wrote:Obviously I am not going to reveal too many details here, but yeah, I still like a beer although have considerably cut down on the smokes. Is this miracle program Herbalife maybe?
Losing weight is much more about being more active (as in a lot more active) than "counting calories". It requires a lifestyle overhaul and maintaining it as most people can't stay in the program after losing that initial weight. Fat they get...again. People who exercise regularly (and seriously) eat whatever they want. Why? Because they burn each and every calorie consumed that day.
Diets are shams. Eating obviously healthy unprocessed food, watching portion control, staying away from sugar, etc. is easy and straightforward. Diets are designed to fail and fail they do.
It aint rocket science as he says, but a professional "personal trainer" is exactly that - a paean of health and fitness. Rock hard, no fat whatsoever, glowing health, limber, taut, etc. - they reflect what they advertise. Cigarettes, alcohol? I don't think so...
I love fish and chips with vinegar in newspaper!!!
