Police Checks and Cambodian Driving Licenses
Police Checks and Cambodian Driving Licenses
Hello all,
Does anyone know where to either; get a cambodian driving license for a 125cc moto (for free), or failing this buy a cambodian driving licence? (i.e cheaper than the $55 ones at lucky motorcycles).
As well as this, does anyone know if a cambodian driving licence will stop the police from charging you five dollars during a routine check as part of the 'Corruption Act of 1997'? Also how routine are the routine checks? I got stopped on Monivong today...
Cheers

They do look like they could get made up pretty easily and there's probably some strata getting them for free somewhere in the country.LexusSchmexus wrote:Are you really that cheap?! You want a free license? Maybe you should just get a bicycle.

I doubt that you can get legitimate licence for free anywhere in the world.
No kidding, just renewed mine at Lucky for $33, not sure the cost of a new one there. I have a friend that can photoshop you one for $47 if that's better? Just P.M. me we can meet in Udong.LexusSchmexus wrote:Are you really that cheap?! You want a free license? Maybe you should just get a bicycle.

well.... just take a look back at your question.
you first asked where to get a drivers license for free. that's a stupid question.
then you asked where to get a better price than from lucky lucky.
the go to place for visas, registrations and licensing for 15 + years. stupid.
then... you asked if having a drivers license would stop the police from charging you for a "routine check".
WTF is a routine check?
so ya......
