I mentioned Cambodia is the one country that doesn't let you deposit money into a bank using Western Union for free, but thought some people might be interested in another thing I've found. (just haven't seen it being mentioned here before)
This is just from my UK account, but you can transfer anything over £500 (i.e. £501) and pay £2.50 transfer fees.
The fee does go up as you get higher than £500, but still cheap compared to sending money by SWIFT etc.
Western Union for cheap money transfers
How do you get the £2.50 transfer fee?
From the Western Union (UK) site the transfer fee for sending £500 is £37.
As the payout will be made in USD, Western Union also make a small commission on the exchange, they currently use the rate of 1.6628639.

Ah, interesting.
I should read your post in detail rather than ignoring the word OVER.
If I increase the amount to send to £501, the transfer fee does reduce drastically, and the rate improves slightly.
That appears far better than most other transfer methods.
