I, for one, think it's a disgraceful piece of business between Australia and Cambodia.
This is disgusting. Why should refugees deserve more rights and access to education when most of Cambodia's own population can't afford their children to go to school?Sister Denise Coghlan of the Cambodia Jesuit Refugee Service said that while the ideal situation would be for Australia to resettle the refugees, any Cambodia deal would need stringent and transparent safeguards.
"There should be no institutionalisation of these people, they cannot be locked up in a detention centre," she said. "And they need documentation right from the start. They need identification, they need proof of their status and their rights to work, and the children need access to education."
This is exactly why CPP have lost popularity. But also why CNRP are no better.
