Garage breakfast arrives
As from today Garage is doing breakfasts from 6.30am onwards.
I tried the Garage Special at $5.50, which was good. Decent amount of food and nicely poached eggs. Served in 12 minutes.
The only suggestion I would make is to have a breakfast at the $4 or $4.50 price point. Currently the range is from $3 to $6.75, but nothing at $4.50.

I like it. Except ... sorry ... I would love to see simple fried potatoes with onions and peppers. Otherwise, looks great.

Went down and had it for dinner. It was ok, a bit of work here and there needed but nothing much. Sausages were nice and bland which is how I like sausages for breakfast. Bacon wasn't the cheap and nasty TGM type so that's good to. Considering they cooked it on a BBQ it was well done.

Looks good. Just need to remove that green thing from the plate. Anything that is green has no business sharing a plate with a fried breakfast. If you batter and deep fry it in lard, we might let it slide. You could call it Scottish tempura.
Generally agree but asparagus with eggs Benedict I'll give a pass to.starkmonster wrote:Looks good. Just need to remove that green thing from the plate. Sounds pretty good. More an English Breakfast, not a hash brown in sight. To be checked out next time in PP.
It looks very unbalanced with too much meat and not enough eggs. For that price I 'd expect 3 eggs (maybe to replace those revolting red beans) and a free flow of coffee, as well as toast, butter and jam.

OK, I haven't tried the breakfast yet but will throw in my two cents based on the photo:
1. Breakfast should not include lettuce
2. One shouldn't say fried potato and then serve tater tots
3. I don't get the point of the onions. Onions on a plate aren't really a side dish.
Is there any difference between the Full Monty and the Garages special other than having one additional sausage link? There doesn't seem to be any other difference. Well, looking more closely, the Full Monty comes with onions (plural) and tomato (singular) while the Garages Special comes with onion (singular) and tomatoes (plural).
Also, for the Bacon N Egg and Bacon Delight offerings, I don't know what two rounds of bacon are. Does that mean two slices/pieces? Or is a round of bacon two slices, so that two rounds = four slices?
