Posting on behalf of my landlord:
16 year old Khmer girl needs a new English school. 'Graduated' Home of English at level 8.
Needs to get a TOEFL/IELTS score for uni in the next couple of years.
Money is not a problem (minted), but dad doesn't think much to ACE, so that's a no-go.
Where is a high end place with 'professional' staff that good results can come from hard studying (the girl's not a thicko).
Cheers.
Decent top dollar English academy?

I've been getting some IELTS-ready secondary school students from Zaman.
I came, I argued, I'm out
Good or bad?
Is that one of these 3 hour a day programs or 1 hour in the evening that they do there?

If she's good and really keen to take those tests tell him to send her for a month or two to an English speaking country. Check this out ,
www.easylanguages.com . They work with top schools in the US, Uk , Canada and Australia , accommodation in residences or with local host families with good credentials.

'IELTS-ready' = good. I haven't inquired further into their schedule but I was assuming full-time.pedros wrote:Good or bad?

She's in grade 12 Khmer school, (Beltei surprisingly seems to run a good program in Khmer studies) so a sabbatical isn't an option.
Her English is pretty good and she does want to learn, as a Khmer 1%er, she's been to Aus/US/Singapore a few times.
The parents have the connections and cash to get her into somewhere foreign, but prefer it to be on merit.
is ICS any good, Collingwood (they have ice dealing murder victims on payroll), will look at Zaman.
