im thinking of heading to snv, where is good to stay for 1 month or more , decent cheap place with wifi and maybe pool around 300 -400 dollars a month maximum budget . are there any gyms down there to do muay thai or anything ? is there kasikorn atm or banks ?
thanks
where to stay, what to do , sihanoukville
You should be able to find a kasikorn ATM in any one of the numerous 7-11's.

There will be no pool in your price range even if it were off-season & it isn't. Laud John made a great offer of $20/night + a couple free beers @ Aqua Resort on CEO. That is the best deal out there. Maybe you can beat him down a little more for a monthly. Try Charlie Harper's downtown to see if they have any open rooms. If so they'll be well under you budget. There's a gym up the hill from there towards the port that does boxing I think.

Yes I do a monthly rate of $500pm on average for the year.
$600pm in high season and $400pm in low season.
Power to the AC is metred and you pay around 849reil per kw/h and you get a 20% discount on your food and beverage spend and you can rent a moto for $60pm with no passport deposit if you want and your laundry is done free. We have a 15m pool and are 2 blocks from the beach.
You can get way cheaper but not with a pool or that close to the beach. Most apartments will not do month to month.
One of the best Gyms in town is right next door at the Cambodiana Hotel and it is apparently reasonably priced.
BTW, AQUA and most places are fully booked (or nearly) for the second half of February.

The gym at the Cambodiana is $50-60/month I think. It's got everything but it's a little cramped. It solves the pool dilemma though. No Muay Thai. IIW the OP, I might pay another $20 for Sokha. You get the big pool, the great beach, & a great spa & fitness center.
In October 2013, I walked around and also talked to tuk tuk drivers, and found several places to stay for less than $300 per month. All had wifi but none had a pool or were as nice as Aqua, but they were not dumps. This time of year, however, I suspect it is much harder to find a place for that price.
