I thought of a plane as well having just read the book about the Wright Bros, but canvas was too heavy for planes back then.
Ha, no MacGyver stuff coming out of my shed this month.
I once spent my time one quiet winter learning how to make tents and wouldn't mind getting into that commercially in my spare time, here. Seeing the junk passing as tentage around these parts, there may be a market for better quality.

One of my first calls for kite ripstop is there - visited them all this morning, no duck canvas. I need it by the roll and multiple rolls from the same supplier/source/batch to match colour and stretch - part rolls and roll-ends aren't much good for matching.slavedog wrote:Street 141, just west of psar orousei. $1.50 - $2.00 per yard.
Fair enough. There's an expat here makes awnings (German guy I think). I don't have his details but maybe someone else on 440 does or you can perhaps find him in YP or something. Maybe that's closer to what you are after.Chuangt2u wrote:One of my first calls for kite ripstop is there - visited them all this morning, no duck canvas.
