There is a place that sells them on Route 6 somewhere right around Chao Seng Hok. For quality ones you're looking at Phnom Penh though.

sopheaktra, do you know how to buy a guitar?
You can find many articles on the internet telling you what to look for, otherwise you could buy something that is very bad quality.

Indeed, Siem Reap is woefully lacking in this department. I picked up a nice little Fender Squire in PP a few years back for less that $200 new. Maple neck, decent little axe. I couldn't hope to tell you the name of the shop in PP where I made the purchase, but I seem to remember it's near the big dome-like public market. They have a good selection of both acoustic and electric.
I lived in Afghanistan for quite a while and was able to do a lot of business with Amazon.com there, as well as eBAY. Sure, there's shipping charges but at least you know you're getting quality. I'd like to think that if I could do business with these on-line markets in Afghanistan, you'd stand a chance of doing it in Cambodia as well.
Check into it.

The truth is that the only thing that matters is what I think because in the end you're going to give me all your money anyway.

Never spotted one in Siem Reap, but I have noticed that there's quite a few shops in Phnom Penh like Madison.
there is ONE decent shop....on Road 6, toward the bus station, on the right side of the road, going away from town.... no name.... but decent selection of guitars, acoustic and electric, for sale or even rent...also, TONS of little things, like picks, percussion toys, actual music Toys- for kids, keyboards, reeds for sax, strings, a BANJO ! p.a. stuff... wish i could be more specific about location, but it`s Cambodia after all. took me months to find it. everyone says,There is Nothing in Siem Reap` but there is
