Shops selling performance parts are seemingly plentiful in Indonesia and Malaysia but have not been able to locate a shop in PP. I am specifically looking for a 125 conversion kit, a big valve high compression head and high lift cam for a Yamaha Jupiter RC. Any leads?
WTB Small moto performance parts
^^Every time I've been to Cambodia I've looked for such things and asked around.
Essentially, all you're going to find are slip on muffler shops and sticker places, maybe a few LED places or siren installers, but nothing of the like above. I've tried for years, no one has the slightest clue of what I'm talking about.
Best head to Thailand for that kind of thing, even Vietnam is slightly primitive in that department.

That stuff has to be ordered online or go elsewhere.
Seems to me thou that a lot of parts from bigger engines, that are around, would be able to do the job of souping up a smaller one.
Sounds like a good machine shop, hard to find too, could accomplish most of what you want done.

I've looked into project ideas combining larger bike parts here and trust me, it's not worth the effort, especially when so few people have proper machining and matching experience.
Best bet is to get a complete big bore kit and be done with it. The less fiddling and such you have to deal with, the better.

Lucky moto on the block above Russian market has a number of big bore Yamaha Finos to their name. Aftermarket cylinders, heads, pistons, carbs etc.
It's the shop with the castrol sign outside near a winter clothing store that usually has a lot of new KTM and Yamaha dirt bikes being cleaned and serviced.
One of the bosses there is an absolute cunt, but the other fella is very approachable. They may be importing such parts or have access to them.

^^Cool! I've been asking around every time I return to Cambodia about big bore kits and such and no one's been able to understand what I'm talking about.
I've actually been to that shop before with one of my bigger bikes and I guess I ran into the dick owner instead of the nice guy. I vowed to never go back because of this but maybe I'll break that vow next time I'm in town.
