The CellCard Pemium Custome Reward Cards
What do you all think of these cards? I still not fully aware of what these cards can do other than that they have chips in them like a Credit card and are overseen by Wing. I was told that you need to be with CellCard for at least 3 months before becoming eligible for the card. The card gives discounts at various restaurants and shops, as well as Wednesdy is Movie Night with 50% off your ticket and a ticket for one other person. I was briefly told that I need to top up first with this card before being able to get the movie discount. Can someone please clairify on how exactly this card works and how to get the Cinema discount? I've enjoyed cell card ever since I've extablished service with the. I had smart initially and switched the sim in multiple devices. Smart sucks. It costs a tad more and it a Malaysian company "Axiata". I'd rather support and fully Khmer company.
I assume you'd only have to show the rewards card to participating businesses when you order and/or when you pay.
And it seems you can also pay with that card at participating businesses by depositing money in it through Wing.
I've been using my Cellcard number ever since I arrived in Cambodia in 2003. I'm going to get that loyalty card. Thanks for bringing it up

TBH the benefits are a bit haphazard and random. Cinema offer is decent.
You really need to be organised and aware to get benefit out of it. I carried a card for ages and never used it.
There is a points system though which gather up over time - there used to be decent things you could purchase using them but now the selection is pretty crap. Still, it's free stuff...

Random as in listed businesses decline to honor the discounts?

Nah, not what I meant. just a massive list which isn't well sorted and searchable.
But yeah, I had one friend who tried to get a 10% discount at an eating place and after a 25 minute delay while the staff wandered around in bewilderment she gave up and paid the full price.
I have no direct experience though.

Yeah, there are a few businesses in their list that went tits up too...
I'd assume though that the bigger, international franchise outlets would know about the discount program. Still worth a try, I guess.
