Learn dressmaking

Postby FridaF » Fri Jan 19, 2018 2:37 pm

Hello everyone

Do you know where I can learn how to make clothes? If there's a school or some place where I can contact a personal teacher, this has to be in english because sadly I don't speak khmer, even if they speak very basic english is fine, I think I can make it work. Any information would be usefull!

Thanks!

Oh look, it's the 'hash-tag', 'parity achieved' wanker.

I'll sulk and whine, do fuck all, yet happily cash my meager dividend.

Dear FridaF,

I have to apologize for the poster above. You see, this forum has undergone some changes over the years, and he misses back in the day when riveting question such as Where might one purchase a good, genuine padlock, where to find shipping boxes and bubblewrap, or simply if anyone know someone who can service air conditioners. There are many more mundane questions like this over the past decade, with zero or one replies, a hundred views, and nobody really caring. But, those were the glory years. Then, things got even better with a new owner in 2014, and this forum became a literal safe space, such as in this thread, where even when ridiculous questions were asked, possibly trolling users, mods stated that "we want anyone with a legitimate question to be able to ask it here, without needing the thick skin that is sometimes required on the rest of the site."

However, due to the shock of the post Hugh Hefner, #MeToo world we now live in, it's easier to lash out and make repeated weird statements that this forum has somehow drastically changed in the past three months, even though by all accounts there is actually less modding than before, except that we have decided to not tolerate outrageously racist and bigoted posts (I know, crazy).

I do encourage you to stay and post. Please be mindful that many threads will get senseless remarks, as above, and will oftentimes go off course, such as this post, but have faith that by the magic of the internet, somehow it always seems to come full circle, and most questions get answered.

So, welcome, keep up a good spirit here and don't take things personally, and you'll find this a valuable resource, hopefully with a few laughs in between.

Yes! Because those questions were asked by guys about manly subjects!
This, very different. Here you have a question asked by a woman about female things. Not the same Migs ! If he hadn't reacted in such a clever, subtle way like a nightwatcher guarding the wall soon we'd be invaded by happy nappy questioners in flowery dresses. Can't let that happen, right ? Racism is out, don't you dare be antisexist as well, that's too unfair for the chaps. Dont touch the so funny kitchen and sandwiches jokes please !
Females !! What is the world coming to !

Now just a minute here.
This Third Man gentleman done created another sock to have himself a go at an admin, just like Alan Clarke, This Charming Man etc. did to him and what drove him raccoon crazy when he finally figured it? Then they all have a good old argument in public?

I think the gravy's getting a little rich around here for this ole Mississippi sock.

If it's all really so bewildering and distasteful to you then have the courage of your convictions, relinquish your shares and quietly step away. Like any principled English gentleman of good stock would do.

All this hanging on, snide haranguing and undermining makes you look like a scorned bar girl or some half-fag from Sotheby's.
