What the fuck is going on here with all this free beer lately? And more importantly, will it still be going on when I get back? _________________ "If you have a rifle, and you line up back-site, fore-site, and Frenchman, pull the trigger, the world is suddenly a better place." Bernard Cornwell |

Well, the last of the guests left around 2AM and there was still plenty more free beer and free food left.
I am currently working through the surplus 6 cases of Beer Laos myself.
When are you back... _________________ We, the sons of John Company, have arrived in Cambodia. |

A few days ago I rode to Kampuchea Krom to get my hair cut by my regular Khmer barbers in PP (cost 3000 riel); only to find it now a Korean Style hair shop full of freshie boys instead of the old reliable men I had grown to trust
I didn't even get off my bike and went home
A text to the resident Despotic Dictator (Lord Playboy) and I had the address of KH Salon
Along I go to give it a try
The price list is printed for all to see; I know many visitors who get ripped off for $3 to $5 for a haircut and shave; but at KH the price list says haircut and shave $1
As I was sitting there I was trying to findsomething with which to give his Lordship some stick; such as for $1 I would expect A/C since I was sweating a bit when I arrived
Halfway through the haricut I realised that the A/C had been turned on for me!!
The one boy who was there cut my hair; after me getting Mrs LaudJohn to tell him over the phone how she wanted my hair cut - not too short due to impending nuptuals (yes I am pussy whipped by a 38kg girl) - ; did a great job
Either the threats she made to him if he messed up worked or he is good at his job; I suggest you decide yourself by going!!
In Summary: A haircut and shave for $1 in an A/C salon is very fair value (especially as no barganing is required) and I highly recommend the place
cheers

I bought a new retro helmet today. This meant I had to get my curly springy mop trimmed. The bloke at KH did a fastidous job. Free water and a guard for the moto. LJ is right very fair value. _________________ The John Simpson of Khmer440 reporting |

A mere 'captain'? - Sir, you insult My Lordship !
By The Way, regular customers will have noticed that their is now a new booth outside KH Haircut offering money changing services, along with selling phone cards, et cetera. In another month or so it it will also be offering PrePaid Internet WiFi Cards, usable in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.
Furthermore, let us not forget ManGoBar on Street 136...
Captain indeed! mmph _________________ We, the sons of John Company, have arrived in Cambodia. |
