Japanese Firm Designs New National Bank Building

New National Bank Plans

Phnom Penh: The National Bank of Cambodia will build a new office building on the current site, which shows the growth of the banking sector.

According to DAP News, the National Social Communications Network of Japan on June 12, "will build a new office on the current location soon. This new building is designed in a mountainous way that shows Khmer culture and shows the strength of modernity and the growth of the current banking sector. "

Please visit the project on the new building project and the statute of the building since 1954 to present.

*Note, the National Bank was blown up under the Pol Pot regime.

There is a massive building just built on Hanoi Road in PP Thmey. On right hand side as you leave the city.
I thought this was the new central bank office!

Those pictures are interesting, I heard it was rebuilt in the 80s after being blown up in 1975, but then the current building doesn't look much like the old one. I guess it had a new facing put on in the past couple of decades.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
