Chhim Sothy Exhibition

The painter Chhim Sothy is undoubtedly one of the most prominent artists in Cambodia. His work has been exhibited on numerous occasions in Europe, the United States, Japan He was especially selected to represent Cambodia at the margins of exposure ASEAN Summit and the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The artist has recently completed a mural in the lobby of the Council of Ministers of Cambodia – a mural of 5 to 7 meters illustrating the Brahmin myth of the “Churning of the sea of ​​milk”. Master in the art of traditional Khmer painting, Chhim Sothy is also producing a more personal and abstract work, in part related to the trauma that he experienced during his childhood, like those of his generation.
