Bet a few of you are secretly wishing you had a touch of the camembert right about now 😂

Heard there’s another chartered flight on Saturday, direct Phnom Penh to Paris, on Air France. 450€
That's a very reasonable price. Fair play to the French. :bravo:
Yes, the French Embassy are doing a good job. Here in Vietnam (before the lockdown) they were taking French passports to Immigration and getting their citizens visa extensions for the correct fee of $10US.

The rest of are having to pay anything from $90 - $150 US for a one month in country extension.

Wendy Mathews needs to put down her glass of Cloudy Bay and do something useful.

These flights are generally for tourists, yes? Or, are the expats fleeing too? Seems to me that the hot sunny weather does limit the spread of the virus as does the lack of public transport. If the virus were to explode then I would have thought the garment factories would get hit the hardest! Any news on them?
I believe that it is supposed to be for tourists, yes. I think that one is supposed to show a return ticket that was canceled or something, but I don't think they're checking too hard (just asking the people but not requiring proof). I know of a French backpacker that got a seat on the plane, and I don't think she had a previously scheduled return ticket. I would also presume, knowing the French embassy here, that if a French expat knew someone at the embassy (and most of them do), it wouldn't be difficult to get a seat aboard.

How can we make sure they are all aware of this? Would be a terrible pity if some poor soul was left behind.

I know if I was worried about the Coronavirus I would want to stay in Cambodia for the availability of top medical facilities, supplies and quality doctors.
Plus you never have to worry about toilet paper, they've got it all under control

Pretty sure that arrival time into Paris given as 06 pm is wrong as it's 1pm Paris time when they leave and flight time to Doha is almost 8 hrs and Doha - Paris almost 7 hrs plus time on the ground - but that's just a minor detail.

I'm guessing the French tour group. which brought us 31 new cases in one day, won't be able to make it and their decision to go ahead with their trip this month during this global Pandemic has earned them an extended vacation.

Some of us have been praying for the French to leave since we arrived here ...
If only we could charter MH370 for them.
