I recently extended my one month E/Ordinary visa in person by visiting the immigration office near the airport. It cost $100 for a six month extension.... Easy peasy..... Why are people paying agents hundreds of dollars to do this for them??
I always apply for my EOS directly at the DoI Visa Office, have done for several years. $180 for 12 months, 6 months is only $90 so you obviously paid them a tip.
What type of Extension did you apply for and what supporting documentation were you required to provide?
Many people use agents because they either don't even know that it is possible to apply directly at the DoI, because they are unable to provide the necessary supporting documentation required, because they don't live in PP, or they just like the ease of paying well above the official fees to have someone else deal with the hassle of doing it.
