The Internet wasn't invented by Tim Berners-Lee. It was invented by Al Gore.

That's why the internet uses algorithms and not timbernersleeithms.

Just read that even the guy who invented the internet has got one, well deserved I'm sure.
No he hasn’t.

It’s pretty easy to question the sources of the shit you read on the internet. Lists of winners are easy to find.
I guess you completely missed the Gore/Bush Jr election cycle?

Who is that fapsara? It doesn’t look like Berners Lee to me.

Berners Lee won the Turing Award which is known as the Nobel Prize for Computing.

And noone remotely involved in the creation of the internet has won the Nobel Peace prize.

The eugenicist Margaret Sanger was nominated 31 times.

In 1921 she wrote, "the most urgent problem today is how to limit and discourage the over-fertility of the mentally and physically defective.”
Unfortunately, that problem still hasn't been solved yet. If anyone ever does, they might actually get the prize, not just nominations.

As the Trump nomination shows, anyone can be nominated for the prize by any politician for all kinds of reasons. Having a person like Sanger nominated repeatedly isn’t a damning of the prize, its a damning of the people who nominate her.

I believe those liberal Swede types compulsorily sterilised theirs.

Political satire became obsolete when Henry Kissinger was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize - Tom Lehrer
We shouldn't forget that it was a joint prize with Lê Đức Thọ, the warmongering, cheating piece of shit who invaded the south soon afterwards and put it under decades of communist suppression.
So that makes two warmongering, cheating pieces of shit who invaded the south and put it under decades of communist suppression.
ho ho ho

The Peace prize has obviously disgraced itself in the very worst way possible.
The Lit prize is too subjective to pick one winner with any authority, although it does showcase some great writers to the world.
It's good to hear a huge shout-out to all the scientist tho', and it often highlights the everyday importance of their discoveries, something we often don't realise.

UN Food Program???
I thought the UN was the Great Satan?
lol

Not meaning to suggest he should get it, but this year Donald Trump also got nominated by amongst others a Swedish right winger, I guess the only purpose was that the nominator used the media attention when the Trump thanked him in a tweet for his own media purposes. So this prize is so meta that by nominating holigans who will not be likely to win, you can get a little cred in your own pond of fish brains.

Politicians and professors can nominate anybody they want. Donald Trump was nominated by Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a Norwegian politician. A politician nominated another politician for politics, it’s not worth getting worked up over in my opinion.

Nobel Prizes exist for whitewashing bad reputations. When Alfred’s brother died a French newspaper mistook him for Alfred and published an obituary that said: “Dr. Alfred Nobel, who became rich by finding ways to kill more people faster than ever before, died yesterday”.

Alfred read his own obituary and wasn’t very happy about how he was going to remembered so he established the Nobel Prizes.

Peace prizes by the inventor of military explosives will always be ironic.
