Sigh.
This is exactly why you can’t say the Chinese vaccines will cause “issues”. You don’t know. Know one knows.
Yes, we don't know. It COULD be, the Chinese vaccine(s) is/are going to be approved by the EU. Though, I also seriously think, this is not going to happen, because the fundamentals of such an approval is open research data around the Chinese approval process and that's never going to be released (at least not as long as WdP is in charge).
Added: You have to make a distinction between the effective medical side of a vaccine and the approval of that vaccine. A vaccine can be perfectly safe/useful, though not approved and then, you won't get it recognized in the EU.
I think I am understanding what you are saying - although I don't quite agree that it will depend on China releasing research data. The latest efficacy data is being drawn from places like Brazil, Chile, Turkey, UAE, Bahrain, where the predominant vaccines are the Chinese ones.
So far, some of the studies are showing that there may even be racial diversity in the efficacy of the vaccines. My view is that if a vaccine shows only 50% efficacy in preventing a transmission, yet is 70% efficacious in preventing serious disease, it is still better than 0% and 0%............
Still, these studies are (as far as I know), managed through China. China does have the latest say in what is published or not. I also have my doubts, whether Western countries/scientists will get access to the raw data.
Again, that isn't true - the Brazil study is still in preprint, so is in peer review in some journal somewhere - joint Brazilian US study -

The Chilean study is out of the University of Chile - who it is funded by, no idea, but I would guess not China as the Chilean Govt have tried to down play some of the findings............
