I suspect that European foreigners tend to make a bigger impression (both good and bad, and impressions tend to last longer) on the locals. Maybe some old foreigners from a neighboring village behave badly?
Many locals don't watch TV news. They get their info straight from their phones. Facebook, freshness, cool news, etc.
I'm sure a local Khmer could explain this complex thinking better than I ever could.
i dont think its the fact youre a foreigner,
i think its just the fact they dont like you
the fact you are a foreigner is just an excuse
they just probably think she could do better
Disagree. The sourcce for everything NKOTB says is his virginal missus. The family doesn't like foreigners, they expect him to be a virgin, she's never fucked anyone, she disapproves of his past daliences.... It's nothing more than a long term grift. Fuck her New Kid and run the hell away.....
NKOTB does indeed claim that all his opinions and observations are provided by the young lady, that he still hasn't married. This allows him to deploy the classic "So you know better than a Khmer" defense when contradicted or challenged. In order to circumvent this, I assembled a motley crew of family and friends, ranging from my wife's grandfather to my grand-daughter(she didn't contribute much as she's only four months old), to consider the current claims. After an interesting debate the verdict was given, an almost unanimous one - he's ch'goo-ut. If her family are of the same opinion, one can see why they don't consider him a suitable husband.
