450 seems high for someone who's also not up for doing anything outside of child minding. I suppose if they're totally reliable, have English, first aid training and takes full reponsibility... If you're both working then you do want that level of security.
A live-in nanny in Cambodia is usually just extra help and child entertainment. I.e. Mum or some other adult is around and overseeing things and nanny (read: cousin from the boonies) just needs to watch the kid during trips to the market etc. And that's cheap as chips but you'll access it through family networks. Hard to do if youre new to the country.
