Last time I saw medics pick someone up they literally just dragged the injured person onto the stretcher, regardless of possible spinal injuries etc. Made me scared.
I saw police officers give first aid to a bunch of people that flew out of a Tuk-tuk when it got broadsided by a truck: grab the injured person around the chest from behind and violently jerk them up and down. If they weren't already injured when they hit the ground, the trained officers will have taken care of that.
