Taiwan (good place to teach)
guess it depends where you work, I found Taipei, really difficult. Teaching little kids,
whose only aim is to win the throw the sticky ball at the whiteboard game...?!!, crazy schedule, not
enough hours during the week, and all day on Saturday, no consecutive days off...no paid vacations...
(that's cram schools for you...)
Not to mention a money hungry boss....although, having said that, I did enjoy the food an climate.
Japan was great, not that easy to save but, what great place...
Currently in Korea, shitty food, seriously deranged management (AND this is public school), Xenophobic people...
On the other hand, I can walk out of here with 25k...
This is my 8th year of teaching English, I've done 3 countries now, I'm tired of teaching (here). And yes, I have a BA an an
qualified to teach in my native country...
At the end of the day, teaching is hard work in ANY country....most of my hassles come from management...
I tend not to let it bother me anymore....
