I have been very close to the alleged grave, go down highway 21 a on the east side of the Bassac and look for the Vietnamese church about 50ks down on the riverside. The village nearby is called pouti ban.And on your way back please stop at the 2500 riel shop just past the ferry crossing. The lady proprietor is quite attractive.
One can catch the next ferry to koh ksaich tonlea, widows island. The KR exiled a lot of women there whose husbands were murdered, ex bureaucrats, officers etc. For some reason that part of kandal province was used to imprison and murder large numbers of victims, all the way from ken svay south.
It was certainly out of the way and until recently the road was a track and there were no services . Now the road is good and there is power and water almost to the border.
The Chinese are building the new bridge about five ks south of pouthi ban, christ knows why. The road on the other side 21, is about to be rebuilt all the way to the border for a cost of 52 million.
