You cannot buy land as a foreigner, only a house.

You can't buy land in Vietnam even if you are Vietnamese. All land belongs to the state.

I am interested to hear from anyone who has bought land in / around Hanoi. Probably a very silly ?? as I am guessing it is much like here and you have to be married to the mob. If anyone has done it as an expat and not married to a viet, please PM me. thanks
