In District 1: Annam Gourmet Market is at Takashimaya in Saigon Center, and at 18 Hai Ba Trung (re-opens september 2nd after renovations).
Phuong Ha at 58 Ham Nghi and Thai Ha at 60 Ham Nghi have a decent range but as Hanno says, beware of shelf life.
District 2 Thao Dien: look for Annam Gourmet , Koikos, Black Market, An Phu Supermarket.
District 7: Giant Supermarket is good.
Big C supermarkets are OK as well. Mega Mart District 2 (ex Metro) is OK but queues are long at the checkouts.
None are cheap. Unlike Thai Hout etc in Cambodia, in Vietnam all imported products must undergo some quite complicated registration with government (expensive process), and taxes are higher and more rigorously enforced than Cambodia.
