On top of this someone hacked my account with ACLEDA and they won’t even refund my money to me. It was used to purchase plane tickets, I have NEVER used it to purchase anything online over $5, so NON notification was sent to me for unusual uses of my card or anything like that. Met up with main branch and they accused me of using the money my self even though I gave them my passport to check out. Costed me over $4,000USD.
IF YOUR A LAWYER and see that you can help me get my money back please contact me. 0978531788
If your going to want to open an account go with ABA, they notify money going in AND out your account
This is why I am very wary of banks in Cambodia. Things are fine until they are not. Don't expect your money back if things go wrong. I had an issue with Acleda where the ATM double-debited my account for a single withdrawal. Despite endless conversations with a number of staff, they could not/ would not understand what the issue was (10 or 15 minutes of repeated explanations and questions, ending with "so what is your problem, sir?" etc etc).
Unfortunately my dealings with the other banks have shown that they are also very poor at dealing with issues (that includes ABA and Maybank), so I still keep my personal account at Acleda. Seems little point in changing.
