Interesting article in the DM here about type 2 diabetes and whether it is a 'real disease' or should be re-branded as a lifestyle problem.

Having had an uncle die from diabetes last year, I'm aware of what a horrible condition it is and how horrible a way to die it is.
Doctors now saying they would rather have HIV than diabetes as it's more treatable and life expectancy is longer.
And lots of studies now saying that, if like me, you are in your 40s, enjoy the good things in life, sometimes a bit too much, now is the time to become more active, the general message being that leaving it till your 50s is probably too late.
