Thai insurance has been compulsory on Cambodian cars and bikes travelling into Thailand for quite a few years now.
Mine has expired.
About 3 years ago three of us were stuck at the border for hours as we didn't have that insurance.
According to the article by Simon Oliver the answer to my question is a simple "Yes".
It sounds like cars and bikes are around the same price.
I previously spoke to an insurance broker in Pattaya, Jack Levy, and he told me this insurance is virtually useless but you must have it to enter Thailand.
Once I do enter Thailand I will be allowed to stay for 14 days, and my bike will get 30 days.....go figure.
