Be careful when you're requesting your "ordinary" visa. When I filled out my forms upon arrival at Siem Reap, I checked the box for "ordinary visa" and wrote "business" as my reason for visiting. Then they issued me a fucking tourist visa. The same thing almost happened at Poipet until I said "business, business visa, I'm here on business! I need the business visa, not the tourist visa!" Then the official said "Oh! You want business visa? Ok, no problem." I could tell by the surprised look on his face that he was all set to issue me another tourist visa. In my experience, the immigration officials still expect to hear the word "business," not "ordinary," regardless of what the "official" change to the terminology is.
