Valium etc, OTC for about $10 a box?
Eager beavers can't wait to come back to Cambo for drugs without need for prescription, lol...
Diazepam,
Zepam, locally produced, is 5 dollars a box of 100 x 5mg, and 10mg is 8.50 or so... Do not increase dosage, or its effectiveness becomes ineffectual...lol...
Diazepam used to be popular with the jungle ravers at Otres: they would be walking down the beach handing out flyers, speaking in slurred speech about Valium and beer... Seems like diazepam is, or was, the go-to substitute for the much more expensive and illegal MDMA...
Once had a curious Pilipina grow ecstatic at the cheapness and availability of diazepam here. I advised her against taking large quantities on her flight back home due to its strict regulation there. ...She would stick her hand out at me and say, "Here, take three!"
Another time, I was buying something at a pharmacy in Sihanoukville and a grinning glassy-eyed old guy with very mushy speech asked the pharmacist, "Is Lorazepam better for sleeping than valium?"... Too late, he was already too blotto to care about the doc's answer, "Valium"...
At death scenes in Cambodia involving not-so-old expats and tourists, the presence of
Zepam and
Zeagra (cheap
Viagra knock-off) are frequently noted together by police... Taking these drugs simultaneously, even if in an alternating fashion, is a great recipe for a heart attack...
Beware, if you dare to care about yourself...
