First, all of the people telling you to walk or run away are giving you the best advice. I strongly suggest you take it.
If for whatever reason you wish to throw more money away, then LoneStar has the right idea. Don't trust her to find any lawyer. Go to a reputable firm like Sciaronni and Associates. They may not do criminal drug cases but can at least refer you to a reputable Cambodian lawyer that does handle those types of cases. You can pay that lawyer directly to look into the matter for you and report back on what, if anything, can be done. There may not be any decent lawyer in Snooky, so you would have to pay for one based in Phnom Penh to inquire down there or possibly make a trip down there.
Her story sounds suspicious. Considering the amount of drugs openly sold in Snooky and the fact that Snooky cops recently let go a rapist that was caught on video, I'm not sure what the cops are doing going into your friend's room looking for drugs. Just because she appeared alcohol and drug free for a few months in 2013 doesn't mean that it is impossible for her to pick up bad habits since then. If she is drug free but the kind of person that hangs out with the kind of people that would plant drugs on her and get the cops to arrest her and throw her in jail, then $2,000 is definitely not going to fix the problems she has.
