I was there about a month ago for thd first time in a couple of years. The bustle is gone and there are almost no young professionals. That burst of them onto the streets at lunchtime just doesn't happen.
A lot of empty perches to be filled by mainland "patriot" professionals, and Xi-ification will be done. I suppose the same will happen in Taiwan, perhaps without even the need for war.
