I'll reiterate,
These laws also already exist in much of the muslim world, eg UAE , Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, to name but three. Let's be honest the only reason Turkey isn't continuing with it is because of publicity, nothing else. Does it not also worry you that a law like this got so close to becoming true, in fact had to be withdrawn? What kind of government allows that kind of shit to even be considered?
You could say that other religions oppress women too, but really?? To the same extent? Do they? Do women who report being raped in other religions face jail sentences? Do women in other religions have to ask for permission to work or leave the country?
But yeah I am anti-theist, I do think all organised religion should be banned period, no exceptions and of course all of the divisiveness they create. Do what you like in your own home for sure, worship a bloody fish tank I don't care.
The way that women are treated under Shariah/Islamic law is absolutely disgraceful, and it is enforced by the establishment. Really you should all stop patting yourselves on the back for being right on and open your PC blinded eyes.
Disclaimer this is an attack on Islamic law, not muslim people, countless millions of them have no choice what they believe and face persecution, imprisonment or death if they make their voices heard. Just ask Raif Badawi for example, he is one of the lucky ones, as at least he is alive, albeit facing 1000 lashes (in installments) and ten years in a Saudi prison. And of course countless millions more that are fine good people, who value the law of the land they are in above that of Shariah.
