I agree. We need to keep in mind that morals, principles and values are not a one single truth across the planet though. I genuinely feel humanity is not capable of aligning as a species any time soon.
And, as has already been stated in other threads and elsewhere, when the apocalypse happens, human morals, principles and values will be among the first things to shatter. This doesn't mean we should give up on attempting to 'get them right', it's just that I think it is naive to believe that 'good' will prevail in a catastrophe. Good is a 'better' choice for the soul, but might not be the 'best' choice for survival, and survival is a main driver in life.
