Kindle Touch
...That link says the full price is $139, a bit high I'd say... No it's exactly the same price as the US ad-free Touch. $139 sounds about right. The Kindle 4 is $109 for international shipping. Good thing is that because Kindles are assembled & sent from China the cost of shipping isn't too expensi...

The future of Cambodian businesses
I have run a business in Cambodia for over ten years and one of the most important things I've learnt is how important it is to get on with people; something the OP has obviously limited skill in.

I agree. If you think you have to write yourself glowing reviews in order to rank well then you obviously have no faith in anyone else doing it for you.
You obviously have no clue and that will become apparent pretty quickly.

Re: ANZ Royal Bank - a warning
So I am hearing two different stories here. One is that you have to have $500 or more to even have an account (and I've heard this on Twitter too but from someone who went in to the Sihanoukville branch) Just to reiterate ANZ Royal Bank http://www.anzroyal.com staff has no qualms about misrepresenti...

Finally making the move to Cambodia!
Good for you & good luck with the move.
I reckon from your post (attitude) you'll fit right in.

DVD collection for sale
I'd be really surprised if you sold these.
There's no 2nd hand market for DVDs or CDs in Cambodia.
I had 1000s of CDs I was trying to give away a few years ago (originals as well as copies). Nobody wanted them.

INSTANT POLL: Who is the biggest tool?
I vote the American.
His Facebook page states how he likes getting fucked up with his friends but here we see him all alone on a Friday night in Phnom Penh therefore concluding that even his other drunk friends think he is a tool.

Barang shot dead on St 172?
This is what I reckoned really happened: Drunken arsehole staggering down road late at night in middle of road. Bong thom drives up & honks horn. Drunken arsehole in full New York style screams "Fuck off, I'm walking here" & slams hands down on bonnet. Bodyguard takes his best aim at arsehole and mi...

Business visa on arrival?
When I went through a few days ago they asked for an extra $15 as I didn't have a photo.
I said $5. One of the immigration officers then, putting on that sad 'poor me' expression said "no have customers"!
I ended up paying $10 but I wasn't prepared to sit around & argue.

I am still confused on his airline. When I moved here I flew EvaAir. I brought 2 carry on's and 4 large check in. I paid for "extra baggage" on 2 of the 4, 2 cats in 2 cat carriers ($215 ea.) and it cost me about $550 ( I know it was under $600). He is bringing more than that or is his airline ultr...

Shipping agents asking for bribes...
A few years ago I left the country with some used paragliding equipment via the airport. On my way back I didn't have the room & thought as these were used goods that had been imported already into Cambodia some years before there wouldn't be an issue. I shipped everything via a shipping company rec...

I've had similar issues recently with anything, big or small, arriving in Cambodia. EMS, DHL, FedEx - had issues with them all - inbound & outbound. It's total luck what happens when your parcel arrives regardless of what it contains. One of my staff said that he saw a foreigner arguing with EMS las...

35 year old American commits suicide
It all does seem slightly odd.
A traffic accident, then jumping from 5m.
This seems like one of those stories where the journalists have just made up something that vaguely makes sense.
Unfortunately it's unlikely what really happened will ever be discovered.
