Re: Big police fines for smoking joints?

Someone also reports on the same thread that police in Phnom Penh are asking for $200 for driving without a helmet. ? I was in PP in November and got stopped for no helmet - police initially requested $5, just gave him a smile and said I'd give them 10,000 riel which they happily accepted, no haggl...

Re: Connect 4 solved

I actually clocked this myself when playing against bargirls a few years back. :D Don't know how, but one day it just "clicked" and after that I'd never lose. I'd play a few games - after promising to buy them the obligatory drink should I lose - then proceed to demolish them every time! After a whi...

Re: "Normal" vs Pedos vs Druggies

^Exactly. I don't live in Cambodia anymore, but when I occasionally check in to forums relating to it I can't help but notice the increasing prevalence of utter pussies who seem to have inexplicably found their way there... Druggies!? In Phnom Penh!? Heaven forbid! I'd rather hang out with a g...

Re: new white man tax at dreamland

you are also risking your health, as Cambodia isn’t a place where street food is safe, and food hygiene is not high on the priority list. Food-borne illnesses are a growing public health threat worldwide and can have long term health consequences. The World Health Organization reports that diarrhea...

Maybe they got the address off the rental form...

Thai Red shirts to gather in Siem Reap to meet Thaksin

Just came across this on a Thai forum: http://www.phnompenhpost.com/index.php/2012040655470/National-news/seeing-red-in-siem-reap.html Authorities in Siem Reap are preparing for a swarm of 40,000 “red shirt” supporters of ousted former Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra who are expected to desce...

Pete Townsend was the guy with the huge collection of kiddie porn that he apparently only downloaded so he could do some research for a book Yeah, Pete Townshend, the morally superior upholder of social justice: http://media.gizmodo.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/pete-townshend-1.jpg Utter wanker.

Re: Koh Kong

View from the restaurants: http://i39.tinypic.com/kt5pw.jpg .. I've been to that beach too, nice and relaxing spot. If you continue on around that road, before you get to the Naval base entrance, there are a couple more empty beaches on the headland which are hardly ever visited. You have to go off...

Re: Koh Kong

Apex is probably the worst hotel in Koh Kong, check their reviews online. Don't know about Apex but I always stay at ...
