Re: Passport
Phnom Penh. I am speaking with somebody with regards to accommodation via e-mail however haven't made anything in stone yet because...of, well, the Passport. :) I looked it up and apparently "limited passports" are issued, not "emergency passports", in cases where proof of ID wasn't sufficient. I ho...

Re: Passport
Hi BirdBrain,
Just for vacation however making the transition to live there (presuming it's as great as it sounds ) wouldn't be too hard, I reckon, as I work online.

Re: Passport
Hi Phuket2006, I purchased the air tickets before the Passport because I needed proof of travel (ie: printed out flight itinerary) in order to use the expedited Passport service. *Apparently* they issue out limited passports in some cases (valid for 1 year) in case the proof of citizenship and/or id...

Re: Passport
angsta, It's time I already have scheduled off work. I doubt I'll be able to do it again. However, honestly (and I don't work for the Dept of State, mind...) I feel I submitted enough documents. The woman had never done ID witness before, so, I wonder if she was a little irritated that day or someth...

Re: Passport
Hi, My ID is awaiting return from the DMV because I needed to fill out for a new one. This takes month+, however, I do not have the time for that with the flight being the 25th. The naturalization question was one more for knowledge than practical use. :) I did use a passport expediting service (Vis...

Re: Passport
BirdBrain, That was very un-called for. I clearly outlined why I asked the question. My flight is the 25th and the post office lady suggested I would NOT be getting my passport due to the conditions, again, outlined above. According to Google, plenty of people have gotten passports with damaged birt...

Re: Passport
Thanks for the replies. I was just curious because when I submitted my expedited passport order today, the post office woman said she was "very skeptical" that I'd be getting my passport. My birth certificate was torn in half (it's perforated down the middle..) and taped with clear tape. Also, I had...

Re: Naturalization
Yes, the general guide lines for becoming naturalized are easily available, but the real requirements not so much. I was wondering if anybody had experience in becoming a naturalized citizen who actually had to complete the real steps to becoming such.

Naturalization
Has anybody here successfully become a naturalized citizen of Cambodia? If so, what route did you take and what was required of you?
The actual full requirements for the different methods of naturalization don't appear to be published (that I can find). Only basic criteria.

1 bedroom, balcony, river facing....
Hello there, I will be arriving in Phnom Penh in the next couple of weeks. I work online, so internet is very important -- I will be staying in a hotel/guest house that has internet until I can find an apartment to lease (I work from 6pm-8am EST, and I've been unable to find a 24x7 internet cafe loc...

Re: Sihanoukville vs Phnom Penh...and others
Thanks for all your help guys!
It seems $1,200 will support a single guy fine in Phnom Penh/"S'ville".
Can't wait...too bad can't shoot rocket launchers at goats anymore (apparently) .

Re: Sihanoukville vs Phnom Penh...and others
Thanks for the replies guys! It looks like Phnom Penh it is. I will only be making $1,200 for awhile -- looking at rent/food prices, looks like that may be a fair wage for a single dude by himself. Then again, finding actual pictures of the places (not just descriptions) is kinda daunting. Bongthom....
