Re: Am I a fool (in love)?
You are a very kind and generous person, newkidontheblock. You are helping her, her family, her extended family and a war-torn, impoverished country that continues to need vast sums of foreign aid to (barely) function. Pay no attention to the cynics here. Follow your heart. Make her squeal with glee...

Re: July 4th Specials - Alley Cat Cafe from 2pm
Could you at least mention why July 4th is a very special day in the history of the human race for all the Australians out there that don't know?
Thanks.
And is there anything for vegetarians on the menu?

Re: Electricity, how much per kilowatt hour?
That's understandable, but where to? I'm thinking Somalia. In terms of corruption, standard of living and filth per square foot, I reckon it's about the same as here. The big difference? The women aren't as hot or as shaggable as here in Cambodia. Hell I don't even think you can see them in Somalia...

Re: Pickled Parrot-Phnom Penh

Re: Khmer affection
Hmmm. In my classroom, there is quite a bit of 'affection', between students of course. Even when there is lots of room, many of them prefer to sit shoulder to shoulder. By this I mean actually touching each other. From an American point of view it seems strange. And then there are the girls. I have...

Re: Electricity, how much per kilowatt hour?
Instead of ripping off foreigners, which they do at every opportunity, the Khmers really should be kissing our asses. Where, exactly, would this country be without foreign intervention? Foreign expertise? Foreign largesse? Foreign tourists? Foreign NGO's explaining to the stupid farmers that the sho...

Re: Nigerian rock candy on menu at Candy Bar
Could we please all agree to stop picking on Nigerians? They are actually quite lovely people once you get to know them. And what is this malarkey about the "American secret service agents"? I very much doubt the US Secret Service, with its dual missions of protecting high level US government offici...
