Re: Sir Fuckwit from www.km11.com
So 14 years on...what ever became of the Penhballers? Their site went underground in the mid 2000s and I know a few members (Peter 1964 and Papalorn) died untimely(?) deaths along the way but also see a few names from those days still prominently kicking around today. The Stickman Weekly review pict...

Re: Ko Kong.....shit or not?
ok, quiet beaches, some good food, nature, water falls and mangroves for those into pneumatophores. Easy enough access to Thailand and the Cardomoms in the dry season and not many/any hostess bars. It really does sound like a place I may enjoy for a week. Thanks for the info.

Re: Where should I go for a medical emergency/accident in Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville?
I had a heart attack back in September 2016 in Phnom Penh on a Saturday evening. I kept protesting to the GF not to take me to Calmette but as we didn't know many alternatives she took me to Naga Clinic. They had NOTHING to help my cause except for an ECG machine that the nurse took ages to hook up ...

Ko Kong.....shit or not?
The past few years I hear a lot of news about The Phnom Penh construction boom, the Chinese turning Sihanoukville into "The New Macau" and so forth. Even Kampot and BTB get its share of news but not much is ever said about Ko Kong. The usual noise that is made when Ko Kong is mentioned goes like "oh...

people movements during Pchum Ben?
So the 18-20th Sept is public holidays and in my mind I expect Sihanoukville to be ram packed full of people between the 16th till the 24th and that PP will be relatively quiet (similar to Khmer New Year). I have been assured from an unreliable source that all the Khmer head back to their home provi...

Re: Would you go to Pattaya?
I remember a quote by Richard Hall in his book Greed - The Mr Asia Connection where he succinctly described Pattaya as " A dreary seaside resort known for the production of second rate porn movies". Still holds true to this day I reckon.

Re: Property still booming?
what about all the mega projects like the planned big development north of Japanese Bridge and the big building. Have they made any headway on them yet or have they gone off the boil a bit. I have been away for a while and lost touch with whats happening on the skyline.

Property still booming?
A while ago there was much talk of big property developments, SEA's tallest building and lots of lots of construction in general going on. Whats the go now, is it still full steam ahead or has the heat gone out of the construction game a bit? Last I remember there was a a bit of a glut of new condos...
