Would you prefer it were spent on the F35? It isn't and either/or scenario. Both are needed. The F35 or future equivalent keeps the world peace and allows us to barfly at places like the KOW with iPhones or Android phones in hand. Welfare gives a last ditch safety net to those who have no resources.
