Take the early bus to Can Tho, Vietnam. You will have to buy a ticket for the entire trip = 10 USD.
Return: If you're done by, say, 10,30 - 11 AM wait for the Can Tho - PP service and hitch a ride for 5 USD to the driver.

Re: "local" credit cards
Thanks. I just wanted to make sure. In sum, the setup is identical with my current one with that other bank. All easy enough. I guess, I will get myself an ABA cc and try it out for a while. If works well for a few months, I assume it will continue to do so. After that I cancel the other accounts. A...

Re: "local" credit cards
My current setup (with the 'other ' bank) is this: I have a savings account and each month the cc bill is automatically deducted from that account. On average I keep 2-300 USD in that account. From you posts I understand, if not mistaken, that your setup is different. No automatic deduction. You tra...

Re: "local" credit cards
Thanks for the replies. I am aware that the credit card actually works as like a debit card. It's the same situation with my cc from another bank in SEA. Difference is the zero interest on my deposit and savings account aside from a 36 USD fee and endless and slow banking procedures and hours in the...

"local" credit cards
My local bank(s) still do not offer credit cards but at least on is now working on it. But it will probably take another year until they are good to go. I use a non-Cambodian credit card and do not like the zero interest on my term deposit I need to maintain to secure the credit balance on the card....

Re: 'Census' of foreigners 'living and working' in Cambodia to be completed by July - Deputy PM
Before anyone gets carried away with the SRRV in Phils. The old version (now called classic) involved a term deposit which was a fake. Right, a fake. The SRRV visa holders deposited the money in a bank from a list pre-selected by that government agency. The selection was not based on reputation etc ...

Re: Popiet to Chiang Mai
You can take the BKK bus from Poipet but switch at Prachinburi to the CM bus coming from Rayong/Pattaya. The buses run in the evening and morning. So not ideal. If you opt for the Korat option, you might consider the Osmach border crossing IF you come from Siem Reap. I think the Prachinburi option i...

Re: Wanted Dutch Pedophile Pieter Ceulen (60) in Cambodia(+pic)
There are the Dutch. I'm not sure why they are involved, given it's a Belgian conviction. It is likely that the Dutch authorities prosecute child rape committed by Dutch citizens internationally. Given that the man is still free he is free game for Dutch prosecutors. if they get him, he is likely t...

Re: The easiest way out
I had some repairs to do. For the plumbing I ended up hiring only three different guys. During the job watch I had to guard the tools which I supplied as the experts had none. I never knew about the importance of Duck tape in construction... When the broken tiles came off, I saw that the previous gu...

As I said, the dynamics within a molester's family are complicated things. It's easy for us to sit here and say what we think but the emotional chaos that is likely happening within that family unit will be huge. There is every possibility they don't have a clue where he is. When he chose to flee, ...

Re: Wanted Dutch Pedophile Pieter Ceulen (60) in Cambodia(+p
Larger non-Cambodian forums which have also a Cambodian section, like Thaivisa, might be a good place to spread the news. European police agencies have their own (= European) officers stationed in BKK due to the volume of offenses committed by their respective citizens. These officers are likely to ...
